Health & Safety Statement
It is the policy of BSCL Ltd to comply with the terms and conditions contained within the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and to provide and maintain a healthy and safe working environment.
The health and safety objective of BSCL Ltd is to minimise the number of instances of occupational accidents and illnesses and ultimately achieve an accident free workplace.
BSCL Ltd will ensure that all employees are familiar with the contents of the BSCL Health and Safety Policy.
Communication takes the following forms:
• All visitors to the company
• Contractors and temporary workers
• Members of the public affected by our operations
• Our customers.
In order to establish and maintain a healthy and safe working environment, co-operation between employees at all levels is essential.
Employees are required to co-operate with safety officers and accept their duties under the Health and Safety Policy for BSCL Ltd document.
Employees have a duty to take all reasonable steps to preserve and protect the health and safety of themselves and all other people affected by the operations of the company.
Health and safety training is regarded as an indispensable ingredient of an effective health and safety programme. It is essential that every employee in the organisation is trained to perform their job effectively and safely.
It is the opinion of the management of BSCL Ltd that if a job is not done safely then it is not done effectively.
All employees will be trained in safe working practices and procedures prior to being allocated any new role.
